About Provider Maria Linda P. Zapson, DO, FAAP:

Dr. Maria Linda Zapson is a board certified Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her philosophy as pediatrician has been shaped from her experience and training as an Osteopathic physician. She likes to focus on preventative treatment, and guidance to help parents keep their children healthy. The parents of her patients often remark on her willingness to patiently answer their questions and educate them. Dr. Zapson believes in taking the time to provide parents with information and sound advice to help them raise healthy and happy children. By listening carefully to the patients and their parents, she helps parents to feel secure in what they do.

Dr. Zapson started her pediatric practice at the Katonah Medical Group in 1999, and became a full parter in the group in 2001. She continued as a partner when the Katonah Medical Group merged into the Mount Kisco Medical Group in 2007, which was subsequently renamed the CareMount Medical Group in 2016. In addition, she continues to serve as as a preceptor for 1st and 2nd year medical students from New York Medical College. She also volunteers in community health events such as Neighbors Link Health days, and local Teddy Bear Clinics.

Dr. Zapson graduated with a bachelors of science in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the State University of NY at Buffalo, while also working as a research assistant at the Research Institute of Alcoholism. She served as the Director of Operations for the university's student run ambulance corp. She received her Doctor Of Osteopathy (DO) degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine/NYIT in 1995. Dr. Zapson completed her Osteopathic Rotating internship at The Sisters of Charity Hospital/SUNY Buffalo Program in 1996.
