- Allows time to confirm insurance coverage
-
How do I complete my pre check-in?
Two days before your appointment, Optum will send you a pre check-in link with your reminder email. Make sure to fill in all of the requested information and complete any necessary payments before your scheduled appointment.
What do I do when I get to the office?
While your information is already submitted, you should still check in with the front desk to let them know you have arrived and completed your forms. Then, as usual, the front desk will send you in to see your provider when they are ready for you.
Late arrival guidelines
We understand that the unexpected happens. Sometimes situations may come up that delay your arrival to your scheduled appointment. Our goal is to be accessible and available to you and to accommodate you when the unexpected occurs.
To create a better, compassionate experience, we have established the following late arrival guidelines.
Grace period
Optum has a 15-minute grace period for patients experiencing unforeseen delays while traveling to their appointment.
Arriving after 15-minute grace period
We will ensure that you are informed about your expected wait time and, if for some reason your scheduled provider is unable to see you, we will try our best to accommodate you and find another available provider.
