Checking in before you arrive

Pre check-in is safe, private and secure:

      • Minimal in-office traffic reduces the spread of germs
      • Saves time in the waiting room
      • Secure and easy online copay payment
      • Ensures accurate and up-to-date patient health history
      • Allows time to confirm insurance coverage

How do I complete my pre check-in?

Depending on your location, you will receive a pre check-in link two to seven days prior to your scheduled appointment. A reminder will be sent the day prior if the pre check-in was not completed. Make sure to fill in all of the requested information and complete any necessary payments before your scheduled appointment.

Note: Your pre check-in link will be sent via email or text, depending on the communication preferences you’ve selected.

What do I do when I get to the office?

While you may have already submitted your information based on your pre check-in process,  you should still check in with the front desk to let them know you have arrived. The front desk will send you in to see your provider when they are ready for you.

Late arrival guidelines

We understand that the unexpected happens. Sometimes situations may come up that delay your arrival to your scheduled appointment. Our goal is to be accessible and available to you and to accommodate you when the unexpected occurs.

To create a better, compassionate experience, we have established the following late arrival guidelines.

Grace period

Optum has a 15-minute grace period for patients experiencing unforeseen delays while traveling to their appointment.

Arriving after 15-minute grace period

We will ensure that you are informed about your expected wait time and, if for some reason your scheduled provider is unable to see you, we will try our best to accommodate you and find another available provider.
