About Provider Gladys Lee, MD:

Dr. Lee graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and received her medical degree from Boston University. She completed a Combined Medicine and Surgery Internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital, and her Ophthalmology Residency at Brown University.

Before joining Optum, Dr. Lee was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Vermont and an ophthalmologist at the University of Vermont Medical Center, after which she founded Monadnock Eye Physicians and Surgeons, where she operated for seven years and directed a team of surgeons and staff.

Dr. Lee specializes in sutureless, small-incision cataract surgery. She offers advanced technology intraocular lens implant options, ranging from astigmatism-correcting toric lenses to extended depth of focus lenses, to patients. To date, she has performed over 3,500 successful surgeries. She is also experienced in glaucoma laser treatments and other oculofacial plastic procedures.

Dr. Lee is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is on the medical staff of Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital. Dr. Lee is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
