Deborah M. Mollo, MD, FAAP

I was born in New York and grew up in the area, living in Westchester for several decades. When I was a little girl I wanted to grow up to be a doctor. I was the first in my family to go to university. When I visited my grandma in a small village in Italy, I promised that I would keep that dream. Several years later, I graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University in 1988 and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York City, in 1992. My love of children led me to pursue a career in Pediatrics. Though I relished my extensive time in pediatric ER and ICU during residency and beginning of pediatric cardiology fellowship at Mount Sinai, I came back to General Pediatrics and never looked back. I worked in private practice in Manhattan for a couple of years before my husband and I made our final move to Westchester to raise our family. CareMount became my practice home in 1999 and it has been so fulfilling to be a part of so many families lives throughout the years. Being a pediatrician is so special to me from the time of babies first breaths to the time they mature in their college years. It is so rewarding to be a part of their lives every step of the way. I have raised my own children during my time at CareMount and can't believe that my twins are now on their own journeys at university. Outside of the office, I enjoy being part of local school advisory committees and take time to go hiking, read, cook, travel and spending quality time with my husband, son and daughter. I now look forward to taking care of my two dogs, which, yes, my kids claim have replaced them now that they are away at school. My view is that, as doctors, we just like taking care of family.
