Amirfarbod Yazdanyar, MD

Dr. Yazdanyar is a board certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. He has shown consistent commitment to his patients, and is devoted to providing outstanding medical and surgical care for those with vitreoretinal disorders.

Before joining Optum, Dr. Yazdanyar was in private practice at Mohawk Valley Retina in central New York. Prior to that, he served as the Director of the Retina Service at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. In this capacity, he continues to train the next generation of medical students and ophthalmologists.

Dr. Yazdanyar has been involved in many research projects in the field of retina. He has published multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters, and has given lectures nationally and internationally.
