Alicia Costanza, DPT, a native of California, has been a physical therapist at Optum in New York since 2021. She strongly believes in providing individualized and evidence-based care to her patients. With a focus on collaboration, she works with each patient to develop a treatment plan that is practical and attainable, ultimately promoting a speedy and sustainable recovery.
Alicia graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor's degree in Physiological Science and a minor in Theater. During this time, Alicia worked with the UCLA Baseball team as a member of the Sports Medicine Internship Program, gaining vast experience in rehabilitation and injury prevention for high-level athletes. She went on to earn her doctor of physical therapy degree from Columbia University specializing in adult orthopedics and was honored with the Faculty Award for Excellence in Orthopedics.
As an athlete herself – soccer, softball, and basketball – Alicia has a passion for the rehabilitation of athletes but loves treating patients of all backgrounds and activity levels. She enjoys working together with patients using manual therapy, exercise, and patient education to return them to pain-free life.
In her spare time, Alicia enjoys playing sports, reading, attending comedy shows and concerts, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
