Alejandro Silva, MD

Alejandro Silva, MD is a board- certified internal medicine physician and is a fellowship-trained sleep medicine physician. Dr. Silva graduated from Rutgers University and Auburn University. Dr. Silva completed his fellowship at Temple University in sleep medicine and his residency training in internal medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Silva has experience treating pediatric and adult obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, circadian rhythm sleep wake disorders, insomnia, parasomnias, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome and periodic movement disorders. Dr. Silva believes that appropriate care starts with trust between the doctor and the patient with an emphasis on shared-decision making. Dr. Silva notes a combination of pharmacologic and behavioral approaches to treat sleep related symptoms and diseases is most effective.
