Sylvia Nguyen graduated in 2014 with her Doctor in Nursing Practice from Arizona State University in Phoenix, Arizona. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and began her career as a Urology Nurse Practitioner in 2014. Sylvia's expertise spans a range of urological conditions, including prostate cancer, kidney stones, incontinence, BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia), and more.

Throughout her career, Sylvia has demonstrated a commitment to clinical excellence and leadership. She played a pivotal role in expanding a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Sylvia has been involved with the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA), serving as President of the Arizona chapter from 2020 to 2024 and as a member of the SUNA Planning Committee from 2019 to 2021. Sylvia joined Optum in 2024, where she to continues to apply her skills and knowledge to improve patient outcomes and integrate into the community.
