Sylvia Nguyen, NP

Sylvia Nguyen is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in urology. She earned her Doctor of Nursing practice from Arizona State University in 2014 and began her career in Gilbert, Arizona, where she worked closely with urologists to provide comprehensive care. Sylvia's expertise spans a range of urological conditions, including prostate cancer, kidney stones, incontinence, and BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia).

Throughout her career, Sylvia has demonstrated a commitment to clinical excellence and leadership. She played a pivotal role in expanding a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants, significantly enhancing patient care services. In 2024, Sylvia joined Optum, where she continues to apply her skills and knowledge to improve patient outcomes and integrate into the community.

An active participant in her field, Sylvia has been involved with the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA), serving as President of the Arizona chapter from 2020 to 2024 and contributing to the SUNA Planning Committee since 2018.

In 2024, Sylvia relocated to New York with her husband and their cat. Not long after their move, they welcomed a new addition to their family, a baby girl named Violet. In her spare time, Sylvia enjoys traveling, dining out, walking, hiking, exercising, and exploring new activities.
