Dr. Syed Rahmatullah has more than 20 years of experience managing and treating patients afflicted with heart diseases. He has extensive clinical experience in managing all kinds of cardiovascular diseases, including heart muscle weakness (cardiomyopathies), blockages of the vessels of the heart (ischemic heart disease), valvular heart diseases, Congestive Heart failure, rhythm disorders including supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmia, high blood pressure (hypertension) and high cholesterol (dyslipidemia).

Dr. Rahmatullah completed his residency training at Maimonides Medical Center, a high-volume cardiac center, and completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn. NY. After completing his fellowship training, he joined Beth Israel Medical Center, now part of Mount Sinai Health System in New York City, as Clinical Assistant professor, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Rahmatullah treats the following conditions:

Coronary artery disease (cad): narrowing of the blood vessels supplying the heart leading to chest pain (angina)
Heart attack: instant blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle, resulting in tissue damage
Heart failure: heart is unable to pump blood effectively
Arrhythmias: irregular heart rhythms, such as atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, and tachycardia
Valvular heart disease: conditions affecting the heart valves, including valve stenosis (narrowing) or regurgitation (leaking)
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Congenital heart defects: structural heart abnormalities present at birth
Cardiomyopathy: diseases of the heart muscle that can lead to heart failure
Peripheral artery disease (pad): pad is characterized by the narrowing of blood vessels outside the heart, primarily affecting the arteries supplying the legs and feet
