About Provider Preeti Dilip Subhedar, MD:

Dr. Subhedar is excited to return to Westchester, the area where she grew up after 17 years of being away. She has been in practice as an academic Breast Surgeon for 7 years at Emory University in Atlanta, GA after completing a general surgery residency there and then a Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. At Emory, Dr. Subhedar served as the Director of the Breast Center at Grady Memorial Hospital and the Associate Program Director of the Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship. She serves on several national committees for the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Cancer Research Program of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Subhedar is excited to bring these experiences to Optum to standardize and strengthen an already phenomenal breast program. She appreciates that the field of breast cancer is constantly changing with new advances and treatments being discovered all the time. She looks forward to supporting her patients and their families on their specific breast cancer journey. "It is my job to make this diagnosis less scary and provide support wherever a patients needs its," says Dr. Subhedar. "It is the ultimate privilege to take care of patients in their time of need."
