Melissa Algieri is an ANCC certified pediatric nurse and has been working with children since 1999. She attended Rutgers College of Nursing, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then attended Rutgers Graduate School of Nursing receiving a Master of Science in Nursing. Melissa Algieri has worked in primary care in a variety of environments and has a special interest in breastfeeding, health promotion, female adolescent health counseling, and immunization education.
She works to empower the patient and their family to take charge of their health by fully educating them on health promotion and disease management. She believes the resilience of children – that they can bounce back from illness if provided the proper support and care.
Melissa Algieri was born and raised in Central New Jersey, moving to Essex County in 2005, where she now lives with her husband, three children, and her dog. She enjoys going to the beach, out to dinner and watching her children participate in sports.
