Lawrence D. Shulman, DO

Lawrence Shulman, DO holds multiple titles within Optum, including Chief Medical Officer, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Division Chief, and Medical Director for the Sleep Center. Dr. Shulman is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Critical Care, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Shulman joined the organization in 2006 and prides himself on a career of advocating for patients and colleagues. In addition to caring for his patients, he led the organization in the early days of electronic health record implementation all the way through EPIC integration. Additionally, Dr. Shulman played an instrumental role in guiding the organization through the COVID pandemic, and currently serves as Chief Medical Officer.
