Dr. Christopher Burrei, DO is board-certified in Physiatry, Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center, where he excelled as Chief Resident.
Dr. Burrei provides specialized care in non-operative sports medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). He treats patients aged 16 and older, with a particular focus on the neck, thoracic, and lumbar regions. Dr. Burrei is adept at performing nerve testing, trigger point injections, and intraarticular injections, offering significant relief to patients suffering from chronic pain disorders such as RSD/CRPS. In addition to his expertise in managing back pain, Dr. Burrei conducts EMG/NCV studies along with trigger point, muscle, and joint injections. His clinical interests are broad and include diagnosing and managing acute and chronic injuries of the neck and lower back, treating non-surgical sports injuries, and overseeing comprehensive physical rehabilitation programs.
