EpicCare Link at Optum Medical Care of New Jersey, P.C.

EpicCare Link is a secure, web-based application for connecting community affiliates to patient information at Optum Medical Care of New Jersey, P.C. (OMC-NJ) facilities currently using Epic as their EMR.

EpicCare Link access is only available to staff of affiliated community practices.

What is available within EpicCare Link?

Features:
  • Access patient data and provider notes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including current and prior clinical diagnoses
  • Place Ambulatory Referral orders.
  • Review test results in real time (including lab, and diagnostic imaging)
  • View your patients’ upcoming and past appointments with Optum Medical Care of New Jersey, P.C. providers
  • See a full list of patients that are associated with your EPIC patient care team.
Benefits:
  • Quicker turnaround time with Optum Medical Care of New Jersey, P.C. providers and staff (no more faxing reports)
  • Faster access to Optum Medical Care of New Jersey, P.C. provider notes, lab and imaging results
  • No special hardware or software required. Access Epiccare Link from your Edge or Chrome browser.
  • Search Optum Medical Care of New Jersey, P.C. physicians by specialty and send them secure messages through In Basket Messaging.
  • A completely free service provided to all primary care physicians who refer Optum Medical Care of New Jersey, P.C.

Steps to Request Access:

Please complete tasks detailed below:

EMR access request form

Please download, complete and submit the EMR access request form. All required fields must be completed prior to submission.

OMC-NJ EpicCare link

Visit the OMC-NJ EpicCare link and select the “request new account” link.

  • When prompted to select the OptumCare organization you are affiliated with, please choose “OMC-NJ” from the dropdown list.
  • Please note that new sites should identify at least one site administrator for their site.
Assign Site Administrator(s)

Each site is required to have a Site Administrator. It is recommended that each site has two assigned.

Site Administrators are responsible for:

  • Requesting access for new users.
  • Site Verification.
  • Deactivating users that are no longer with the site.

How long does it take to review submissions?

Please allow 7-10 business days for your request to be completed. The EpicCare Link team will contact the site administrator with any questions if necessary.
