What is occupational medicine?

Occupational medicine is an employer-driven service focused on keeping employees safe and healthy on the job. Our services include OSHA exams such as drug and alcohol tests (urine, breath and hair collection), hearing exams, DOT and non-DOT physical exams, and worker’s compensation support. If you are injured, we do everything we can to help you get better faster.

A leader in the field for more than 20 years

Our physicians are experts in occupational medicine and know federal and state guidelines. They are better at caring for work injuries than most primary care doctors. Certified medical assistants, radiation technologists, LPNs, and RNs conduct occupational exams. DOT and non-DOT physicals are performed by MDs, DOs, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.

What happens if there’s a workplace injury?

Injured employees will get excellent care and the support they need for a fast, safe recovery at our urgent care centers. We treat then refer patients within our extensive Optum network for primary care and specialty services where most commercial insurances are accepted. Radiation technologists are available daily for on-the-spot imaging.

Employee Assessment

Our urgent care centers use an integrated and robust process to assess employees for pre-employment wellness. Results are shared quickly with employers to reduce delays.

Focused on healing

Being injured at work is difficult for most workers. We act quickly after an injury to offer care and help employees get back to work safely.

We know workers’ comp

If you are injured, we make sure everyone is informed. This includes details about your injury and any treatment plans and workplace restrictions. We’ll also teach you why returning to work can help with recovery.

Helping employers and employees

Good care can determine your recovery, which is why our doctors will ask for feedback. That feedback is then shared with our clinics, so we can consistently improve our care.

Improve workplace health

Many employers require pre-employment exams to help reduce health and safety risks at work. We provide these exams to businesses of all sizes across the country.

DOT testing

All commercial vehicle drivers are required by federal law to pass a regular DOT physical exam. DOT exams follow strict rules and help ensure drivers are healthy enough to drive safely. Drivers who pass get a valid DOT card.

Drug testing

Drug screenings test for the presence of illegal drugs, alcohol and other substances. This helps create a safer workplace for employees.

Urgent care services

Many of our urgent care locations offer a variety of  exams for work and school-related activities including pre-employment exams , back-to-work exams, sports exams, student exams, yearly exams/physicals, DOT exams (at select locations) and OSHA exams.
