Starting Wednesday, September 3, the Town of Fishkill will be closing and paving the portion of Merritt Blvd that connects to Route 9.

Important Detour Information:

  • This road closure will require patients to take a detour that may add at least 20 minutes to travel time.
  • The detour route passes through school zones, and local schools will be in session starting next week. Please plan accordingly and drive safely.

Effective September 15, 2025, Plainview CardiologyGastroenterologyPrimary Care at 1181 Old Country Rd and Primary Care at 789 Old Country Rd will be relocating to a new, state-of-the-art multi-specialty center at 1600 Old Country Road in Plainview.

The Extended Hours Center in Lake Success will be closed on Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1.

As of August 1, 2025, Optum Allergy and Immunology in Long Beach has closed, and the providers have relocated to Optum Allergy and Immunology in Bay Shore.

Midwifery/Doula

For many, midwives and/or doulas are an important part or addition to an expectant mother’s birth plan, especially if you are planning for a natural birth, or non-hospital birth. Midwives and doulas can provide you with individualized education, counseling and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support.

Please note: Working with a midwife may not be an option for many women due to their personal health histories/situations. Consult your gynecologist about your birthing plan.
