Our approach
Our medication-assisted treatment (MAT) care plan treats opioid use disorders and addiction in three parts:
- Counseling: Our experienced doctors have helped countless people overcome their addiction, guiding them through treatment and building strategies to combat addictive thoughts. Because addiction is not a straight path, we try to be as accessible as possible, offering in-person, phone and virtual options for convenient access in moments of need.
- Medication: We use non-habit forming drugs to help reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings. These medications are safe and effective, and will be closely monitored to ensure proper use.
- Support from family and friends: Crucial in motivation and lifetime support, Optum brings loved ones into patient treatment plans. We give updates on medication and progress, and critical insights so they can provide the necessary support throughout our involvement and beyond.
