Tanvisha Mody, MD

Dr. Tanvisha Mody is board-certified in internal medicine and diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism. Her special areas of expertise include benign and malignant thyroid disorders, parathyroid/calcium disorders, and diabetes management. She also treats patients with pituitary disorders, adrenal disorders, and both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Her philosophy of patient care is to provide individualized, compassionate, state-of the-art care to all of her patients.

Dr. Mody was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. Staying in state after graduating high school, she attended North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2011 with a BS in biological sciences-human biology and a minor in genetics. After graduating, she attended the American University of Antigua, College of Medicine and graduated Magna Cum Laude with an MD in 2015.

After medical school, Dr. Mody completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Hahnemann University Hospital with Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Mody completed her Endocrinology Fellowship and served as the Chief Fellow at Westchester Medical Center with New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York.

Upon completion of fellowship, Dr. Mody moved to Gainesville, Florida and worked at an outpatient endocrinology private practice for 2 years. She was able to provide care for patients that lived in the rural parts of North Florida with limited access to good healthcare.
