Olamide Odubogun, MD

Dr. Olamide Odubogun is a board certified pediatrician, having received his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine, and completed his pediatric residency at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. He has extensive training and work experience in both inpatient and outpatient practice, including level II NICU, ER consults, resident education and attending C-section deliveries. As a physician, he focuses on delivering care that is patient-centric, evidence-based and outcomes-oriented. He has a strong passion for medicine in general but especially for taking care of children. While he manages a whole range of conditions from birth through college years, Dr. Odubogun finds it particularly rewarding to guide parents with young kids and help them navigate the journey of parenthood. Life as a parent has become much more demanding and complicated, and the role of pediatricians has evolved over the years to encompass more and more of the art of medicine. The internet has been a force for good - access to good information, easy communication with parents and creative ways of learning have been positive developments. However, it has also created an environment where parents feel overwhelmed with all sorts of information and are finding it increasingly difficult to ascertain what is empirically true rather than anecdotal advice. Dr. Odubogun has made it a point to fill that role for the parents and families he takes care of. With mental health being a priority of Dr. Odubogun's, it is a key component of all his patient visits, particularly for school-age kids and teens. He believes children are at their best when they have a clear mind. Consequently, he manages children who present with problems such as ADHD and anxiety. Dr. Odubogun believes with a balanced approach, it is possible to empower children to learn about themselves, conquer their limitations and convey the best version of their true self. Dr. Odubogun also manages care for children with complex medical conditions such as down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other chronic and/or genetic problems. It is important to him that these children live a life where they fulfil their highest potential. He works closely with a myriad of experts and consultants available at CareMount to develop a holistic approach where they ensure the physical, emotional, mental, and medical health of the children so they are at their best. Dr. Odubogun, along with his wife and son live in Westchester County and as a family have a passion for travel and mindfulness, especially yoga and meditation. He is also an avid sports fan, and when he is not playing football (soccer), he is watching his favorite team Manchester United!
