With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Velickovic enjoys being a pediatrician and fells that she has the best job in the world. With two children of her own, she says, “It’s a privilege to be a person that parents trust, and to be the person they turn to to ask for advice for their newborn’s feeding, their toddler’s behavior, their adolescent’s college choices, and more. Being a pediatrician is a lot of responsibility, but the joy and fun I have everyday is priceless.” Having raised two (now adult) children of her own, Dr. Velickovic says she remembers vividly how scared she was when she was told her newborn daughter was very sick. As an immigrant, she remembers how supportive her kid’s pediatrician was at that time, and how meaningful it was that they explained everything repeatedly until she fully understood the situation – lessons that she’s brought in to her own practice. Dr. Velickovic believes that working as a team with her patients, their parents, and teachers provides the best outcomes and care for patients.
