Julio Urena, MD

Dr. Julio Urena attended the University of Autonoma de Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic during the year of 1976. He completed his residency at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Bronx NY during 1989-1992 and his fellowship was completed from 1992-1993 in Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Urena is currently board eligible. One of his researches over the years was a primary investigator in Pharmaceutical Diabetic Trials. His special interests are managing type II DM, Pulmonary diseases and Hypertension in order to prevent or delay complications as well as the challenges of weight reduction on overweight and obese patients. Dr. Urena is also trained Botulinum Toxin treatment and dermal filler treatment.

With regard to patient care Dr. Urena’s philosophy is, “Get to the patients level and use the time to the listen to their problems in order to provide the most effective solutions.” Dr. Julio Urena currently works out of our Internal Medicine office in Clifton, NJ.
