Jay S. Berger MD is Medical Director and Chair of Pediatrics with Optum. Board Certified in Pediatrics, he graduated from University of Pennsylvania, and with honors from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his residency and chief residency at LIJ Cohen Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Berger regularly lectures parents, and other healthcare professionals on various pediatric subjects. Dr. Berger champions his fellow physicians helping to revise workflows and efficiencies to optimize both the doctor and patient experience in the exam room.
Dr. Berger mentors college and med school students, residents and NPs. He has lectured nationally on the dangers of vaping and has been featured on multiple news outlets including CBS News and Newsday. His many accolades includes Best Pediatrician of the North Shore.
