Dr. Cory Singer is a board-certified radiologist with expertise in Breast Imaging and Intervention. His practice of nearly 30 years has been focused solely on Breast Imaging and Intervention. His scope of practice includes interpretation of mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, as well as performing breast interventional procedures. These include needle biopsies performed using stereotactic, sonographic, or MRI guidance, as well as pre-operative localizations.
Dr. Singer received his BA degree from Johns Hopkins University, and his MD degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in both Internal Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology, followed by fellowship training in Breast Imaging, all while at NYU. He is board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology and Internal Medicine. Most of his career was spent at NYU where he performed the first stereotactic biopsy at Bellevue Hospital, and was instrumental in their transition from film screen mammography to digital mammography, and subsequently to 3D imaging (tomosynthesis).
