Christopher Koulouris, PA-C, is a dedicated physician assistant specializing in orthopedic surgery. Raised in Queens, New York, in an immigrant family, he combined his passion for soccer with a strong interest in science to pursue a career in medicine. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Binghamton University and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Health Studies from Cornell University, he discovered his interest in becoming a physician assistant through an externship.
Christopher has a diverse background in orthopedics, physical therapy, ophthalmic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and emergency medicine. These roles broadened his perspective and deepened his understanding of patient care. He completed his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at St. John’s University in Queens, New York, and his clinical rotations in Queens, Manhattan, Long Island, and Westchester equipped him with the skills and empathy needed to treat a diverse range of patients.
Christopher believes that personal growth as a clinician is as important as growth as a human being. He focuses on active listening and setting transparent, collaborative goals with patients to build a trusting relationship. His primary interests are in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, where he specializes in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal injuries, particularly sports-related ones. He also has a strong interest in emergency medicine and endocrinology, developing skills in rapid assessment and managing acute conditions, as well as metabolic disorders and hormone imbalances, with a focus on the role of nutrition in health.
A fun fact about Christopher is that his first language is Greek, and he enjoys playing soccer and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in his free time.
