Basil Bruno, MD

Dr. Basil Bruno has been practicing pediatrics in Bergen County for 2 years. He received his B.A. from Columbia University and then went on to medical school at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He also completed his pediatric residency at UMDNJ-University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. Since he was raised in Bergen County, Dr. Bruno wanted to remain close to his family and his wife’s family and has been practicing pediatrics there ever since he completed his training.

Dr. Bruno enjoys all aspects of pediatrics, but especially enjoys taking care of newborns and helping new mothers through this difficult time. He has always taken an interest in babies with digestive problems and helping new families deal with these issues. School-age problems have always seemed to find their way to Dr. Bruno, and helping adolescents with high school, college, and career choices is also an area of enjoyment.

Dr. Bruno spends his free time with his lovely wife, Linda, and three daughters. He enjoys watching and participating in all sports, but his main passion is performing and listening to all types of music. He has been a performing guitar/bass player since early childhood and has been a member of many bands since his teen years. He currently still performs with his band “Dr. B. and the Interns,” and enjoys recording original music as well.
