Asiya Tschannerl, MD, MPH, MSc

Dr. Asiya Tschannerl is a dedicated and experienced Family Medicine physician with over 15 years of practice and education. Dr. Tschannerl did her undergraduate and graduate studies in biochemistry and immunology at the University of London and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She then received her MD and MPH at St George's University and completed a Family Medicine Residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Tschannerl was Chief Resident and then Core Faculty in the Montefiore Family Medicine Residency program for several years before focusing on outpatient primary care.

Her philosophy of care is centered on building a strong partnership with her patients. She focuses on preventive and lifestyle medicine, aiming to address the root causes of illness within the context of each patient's individual lives. She is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, using a holistic approach to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Tschannerl is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been recognized for her humanitarian service with the Ivan Humanitarian Service Award in 2008. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a singer-songwriter, avid nature hiker and proud mom.
