Anwar Al Haddawi, MD

Dr. Anwar Al-Haddawi is one of our most senior and well-liked doctors in New Jersey. Dr. Al-Haddawi completed his residency at Miami Children’s Hospital in Miami, Fl in 1999 and was chief resident at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Paterson, New Jersey in 2000. Dr. Al-Haddawi is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Before joining Riverside, Dr. Al-Haddawi worked at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital as an attending physician for five years. While in this position, he received the Best Young Teaching Attending Award in 2004. Having joined Riverside in 2005, Dr. Al-Haddawi cares for patients in New Jersey. As recognition of the great care he gives to his patients, Dr. Al-Haddawi received the Award of Recognition from Riverside Pediatric Group in 2008.
Dr. Al-Haddawi has a special interest in treating children with asthma and obesity. His philosophy when practicing pediatrics is to always keep parents well informed about their children’s care and treatment plan. He involves parents in all aspects of patient care, as he believes parents are the “best partners in achieving the best outcome for our patients.” Dr. Al-Haddawi is a devoted family man to his wife and three kids. Dr. Al-Haddawi enjoys outdoor activities, nature and reading.
