Alexander Liwag, MD

Dr. Liwag, better known as Dr. Alex to his patients, was born in the Philippines and moved to New Jersey when he was a toddler. He attended grammar school in Jersey City, then later graduated from Marlboro High School in Monmouth County. Dr. Alex attended Villanova University in Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Alex then returned back to his homeland and attended St. Louis University College of Medicine in Baguio City, Philippines, where he graduated in the top 25% of his class. He returned to Monmouth County with his family to complete his pediatric residency training at Monmouth Medical Center. He has been happily working as a pediatrician since completing his training in 25. Dr. Alex lives in Monmouth County with his wife, two children, and one furry friend.
