Abraham Nussbaum, MD, FAAP
I view the Practice of Medicine as a Science that is ever evolving, and a challenge that I enjoy. After 41 years of experience caring for multiple generations of families in Dutchess, Columbia, and Ulster Counties, I am happy to bring my skills to Optum.
Practicing Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine for a lengthy time has allowed me to follow my patients as they have grown and to maintain a trust relationship with them. My interests in Medicine are broad and include post-NICU care of babies and families, Allergy and Asthma including Lung Function Testing, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
My wife Gail and I have been fortunate to raise our children, Tara and Josh, in Red Hook. We have 4 grandchildren ages 5 to 12 with whom we videochat regularly between visits, with conversations ranging from their latest activities (surfing, horseback riding, raising chickens) to their schoolwork, exploits, and injuries.
Raising children in these difficult times can be a challenge for all of us. I am committed to being a General Pediatrician and Pediatric Specialty resource for children and families at Optum.
