Susan Phung, MD
Dr. Susan Phung is a fellowship-trained cardiologist specializing in preventive cardiology, women’s health, hypertension, and lipid disorders. She is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, hypertension, and clinical lipidology.
With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Phung focuses on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart conditions. She takes a personalized approach to care, understanding each patient's unique needs and helping them lead a heart-healthy lifestyle. She has also contributed to research studies on heart disease and hypertension management.
Dr. Phung earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency at Mount Sinai St. Luke's-Mount Sinai West in New York, and her fellowship in cardiovascular disease at New York Medical College–St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark. Before medical school, she obtained a bachelor's degree in biology from Columbia University and a Master of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology from New York Medical College.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Phung is a dedicated mother, a world traveler, and an avid tennis player. Whether she's exploring new cultures, bonding with her family, or hitting the courts, she brings the same passion and energy to all her pursuits.
