About Provider Shachi Pandya, MD:

Shachi Pandya, MD aims to help her patients understand their underlying medical conditions and improve their quality of life. She is eager to develop close connections with the community and her patients during their road to regaining function, mobility and independence.

A six-time published physician, Dr. Pandya is a triple board-certified sports medicine, family medicine and obesity medicine specialist. Prior to joining Optum, she was in private practice for three years in the Chicagoland area where she also partnered with various local schools and colleges on their sports programs along with serving as a team physician for a local high school. She completed her Sports Medicine fellowship training at Allegheny Saint Vincent Hospital in Pennsylvania. Prior to the fellowship, she completed her residency training at University of Louisville in Kentucky where she also served as a chief resident in her final year.

Dr. Pandya specializes in non-surgical orthopedics, regenerative medicine and concussion management. She treats a range of conditions including arthritis, fractures, sprains/strains, joint pain, sports related injuries, performance and nutrition. She also is trained in ultrasound-guided joint injection, diagnostic ultrasound, various therapies such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) and prolotherapy. She has worked with professional athletes and several college and high school teams throughout her career.

Dr. Pandya originally grew up in California. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujrati. Outside of work, she enjoys her time traveling, boxing, trying new recipes and is passionate about physical health and nutrition.
