Rene Forti, MD, CCMS

Dr. Rene Forti specializes in Pediatric Emergency and Urgent Care and Culinary Medicine. She is currently seeing culinary medicine patients one day a week at our pediatric office located at 1 Dakota Drive Suite 100 in Lake Success, NY.

Dr. Rene Forti has been practicing pediatrics for over 30 years and pediatric emergency medicine for nearly 30 years, and she loves the optimism that comes with caring for children. She has always been interested in cooking and eating healthy, and in 2022, she became certified in culinary medicine, combining the art of cooking with the science of medicine. Dr. Forti believes that the power of food as medicine has been overlooked for too long in society and hopes to play a role in changing that. While she sees patients up to age 26 in her pediatric emergency and urgent care practice, in her culinary medicine practice, she can consult with adults who have already diagnosed illnesses that might be improved by preparing and eating certain foods.
