About Provider Michael H. Lief, MD:
Dr. Michael Lief is a board certified internist and infectious disease physician. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine, and an Attending Physician at New York University Langone Medical Center. Dr. Lief practices primary care internal medicine as well as infectious diseases medicine, treating both office- and hospital-based patients. His clinical interests include:

- Counseling and prescribing for HIV PrEP
- Travel medicine consultations, including Yellow Fever vaccinatio

Dr. Lief graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. degree in Biology. He earned his medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland Faculty of Medicine in Canada. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Lief worked at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Department of Internal Medicine.
