About Provider Francis J. O’Brien, MD, FACP, FACC:
Dr. Francis J. O’Brien is a board certified cardiologist. He is a Clinical Professor at the New York University School of Medicine and an Attending Physician at New York University Langone Medical Center. Dr. O'Brien is a noninvasive cardiologist whose expertise includes all areas of cardiovascular medicine. Particular areas of interest include:
- Coronary artery disease
- Congestive heart failure
- Cardiac arrhythmias
- Preventive cardiovascular medicine
Dr. O’Brien graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Biology in 1978. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1982. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York University Langone Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital and completed an additional year as Senior Chief Medical Resident in Internal Medicine from 1985 to 1986. He then did his fellowship in cardiology at New York University Langone Medical Center. Dr. O'Brien is also board-certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American Heart Association, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
