About Provider David Lewis Wertheim, MD:
David Wertheim MD is ProHEALTH’s Chair of Allergy & Immunology and Board Certified in Allergy & Immunology and Pediatrics. He teaches Allergy Fellows in Training in the clinic at Northwell and is the Director of Allergy for St. Francis Hospital.
While in training, he won the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology College Bowl Competition. He serves on the Board of the Long Island Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society and was the incoming President in 2020.
Dr. Wertheim sees both pediatric and adult patients. He has a special interest in food allergies and offers Oral Immunotherapy (OIT).
