Christina Valsamis, MD

Dr. Christina Valsamis has been practicing pediatric pulmonology and sleep medicine for over a decade. She treats a wide range of pulmonary conditions such as chronic lung disease, bronchiolitis, reactive airway disease/asthma, exercise induced bronchospasm, and respiratory complications associated to neuromuscular disorders.

Dr. Valsamis cares for infants, children, and adolescents who may have symptoms of persistent cough, recurrent wheezing, and difficulty breathing. She also manages patients with sleep-related issues, such as sleep disordered breathing/obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, parasomnias, and daytime sleepiness.

Dr. Valsamis feels strongly that communication between physicians and their patients is paramount. She works closely with primary care physicians and other specialists to optimize my patients' health, and she believes in empowering caretakers with the proper tools to safely and confidently care for their children's healthcare needs. As a mother of two asthmatic children herself, she truly empathizes with her patients and their caretakers, and is a compassionate physician who takes the time to listen to and address her patients’ and their families’ concerns.
