Ana Luisa Cerna-Helfer, MD

Dr. Ana Cerna-Helfer is a pediatrician and a certified lactation counselor with more than two decades of experience. She chose her areas of specialty, which are particularly rewarding to her, because she loves children and she understands the major impact that preventive medicine can have on them and their families. Dr. Cerna-Helfer believes there is much to be learned from seeing the world through a child’s eyes and she learns from them every day. As a Lactation Counselor she provides clinical breastfeeding counsel, management and support to families who are, as well as those who are thinking about, breastfeeding. Dr. Cerna-Helfer feels very privileged to be able to help mothers successfully breastfeed their babies.
