How is the extended hours center different than urgent care?

For non-life threatening urgent medical needs, you can visit either Optum Urgent Care or our extended hours center. Optum Urgent Care centers are open to all patients. Extended hours center is an exclusive benefit for Optum primary care patients.

Because our extended hours center is an extension of our primary care servcies, it's billed as a primary care (PCP) visit.

Who can use the extended hours center?

All existing Optum Medical Care patients who see an Optum primary care provider(PCP), family medicine, internal medicine, OB/GYN or pediatrician can use the extended hours center. It's exclusively for Optum Medical Care patients (adults and children) who cannot get to their primary care providers or have a non-life threatening urgent medical need.

Is the extended hours center only for adults?

No, we care for adults and children.

Do I need an appointment?

No you don't need an appointment. Walk in any time we are open.

What services do you provide?

We provide all primary care-related and urgent care services. Think of us as an extension of your primary care, family medicine or pediatric office when they are closed or you can't get to them.
